Anyone want to read

anyone want to help me put them back.

I love to read.   I spend a lot on books   I love books, the smell, the feeling of opening a new book and re-reading a favorite, but I only have so much room, so I requested a kindle for my birthday.

Percocet

gave me a really bad nightmare.     I was bleeding from every pore in my body.   So i didn’t take it last night and woke up IN THE WORST PAIN ever.   (ok , but not ever, but I WAS HURTING)
Today is reveal day.     My mom and i get to see under the bandages.   and I get to shower.

but i still can’t lift my arm…but i can move my elbow and thats good.

My sister is bringing the kid over tonite and my mom and i are babysitting tomorrow.   My dad is coming up tomorrow and we are going to A/C to see Steve Tyrell at the hilton on Sunday.

Don’t forget,  click on   the link  Libragirl shops and feel free to hit my amazon wishlist.

I’m on Facebook

So the guy came this morning to check to see if there was water damage to the drywall in my garage    He doesn’t think so, but they will fix the paint and check to make sure there is no drywall.   I will be able to put everything back together in a few days.  It’s officially dry in there.

That makes me happy.
Also, the princess is sleeping in a big girl bed.  She looks very tiny in it and  it means she is getting to be a big girl which  makes me sad but happy also

She told her mom that she has apple juice at her house in NJ.   She means my house but she thinks it’s hers   Maybe I should make her give me money for the mortgage.

NE is staying with the grandparents this week.   LN is there next week.

Also –  feel free to buy me presents..the link is on the side

I’m gonna try

I’m gonna try to go to the library.   The wonderful an9ie reminded me that I wanted to read the Dresden Files books.   I forgot and she gave me the author’s name and suggested I read it.   Well I like the show but do I want to start buying another series of books.  No, since really books are an expensive habit.   So when I was at my parents this weekend, I got a Jim Butcher book out.  (which again I forgot but someone had just returned one so I took it)   I didn’t finish it so now I have to.  But I think it was like the 1 millionth in the series  (or the 7th out of 9) so I am going to read them in order.  From the library.    I went through my wish list and printed it out and marked down what to get from the library and what i need to buy.   There are a lot I could read and return.    Of course, my local library has 4 books so they might not have the ones I want.   Then I may have to beat people up.

Seriously, me in a library, it’s an adventure.   Want to know what I’m reading.  Check out the link-  Buy me things, I’m very pretty.

Totally stole this from Lynda.

Now, before I do this, I have to tell you. I read all the time. I have a book next to my bed (ok like 9) A book downstairs, a book in my car, a book in my desk at work and when I am out, I carry a book with me. (hey, you never know when you are going to be standing in line, or eating alone when out shopping. I have even gone to bookstores to buy a book to have something to read if I forgot my carry book)

My credit card bill is – Amazon and I-tunes – Amazon – I-tunes, food store – Amazon, Amazon, Amazon. (seriously, it’s an illness)

Science Fiction, Fantasy or Horror?
Hmmm. Probably horror, fantasy, and then Sci-filfantasy last. I love horror and fantasy. Vampires, witches, werewolves. All three in one. Awesome.

Hardback or Trade paperback or Mass market paperback
Don’t care. Hardback is ok for home, work, car book. Paperbook for my carry around book.

Amazon or Brick and Mortar?
I am an Amazon whore. I like bookstores but I do most of my book shopping only line. Mainly because stores involve moving. If i am already out, I see a bookstore, I go and have my book list.

Barnes & Noble or Borders?
Barnes & Noble. There a reason. It involves me being a bitch to someone bitchier then me.

Hitchhiker or Discworld?
I don’t know what this means.

Bookmark or Dog-ear?
Both. I love a good dog-eard book- it’s loved and worn and nice But bookmarks, then the book keeps that new book look and smell.

Asimov’s Science Fiction or Fantasy & Science Fiction?
Fantasy and Sci-Fi. I don’t really like Science Fiction like Star Treky stuff.

Alphabetize by author, Alphabetize by title, or Random?
Author, then date order of when then came out. Ok, let me change that. Random, but authors are together, by date of when the book came out.

Keep, Throw away or Sell?

Ok, I would never throw away a book. I give them away to the library or used book store or good will. Or sell them at a garage sale.

Keep dust-jacket or Toss it?

Keep the dust -jacket- I use it as the bookmark

Read with dustjacket or Remove it?
See above

Short story or Novel?
Don ‘t care, as long as I like it.

Harry Potter or Lemony Snicket?
Harry Potter, and the last one is out soon and already pre-ordered from Amzaon.

Stop reading when tired or at Chapter breaks?
both. Depends on how tired or where I am.

“It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time?”
Either. Although, It was a dark and stormy night is usually better.

Buy or Borrow?
Both, although buying is usually the main choice.
Buying choice: Book Reviews, Recommendation or Browse?
Browse, although Amazon recomendations help

Lewis or Tolkien?
Lewis.

Collection (short stories by the same author) or Anthology (short stories by different authors)?
Don’t care, although anthology will give you a chance to discover new authors

Tidy ending or Cliffhanger?
both. if i like the author i will wait

Morning reading, Afternoon reading or Nighttime reading?
yes
Standalone or Series?
yes

New or used?
yes

Favorite book of which nobody else has heard?
She’s come Undone, by Wally Lamb. Best book ever.  don’t let the oprah thing scare you.  it’s a great book.  Read it in a weekend.  I have never hated a main character as much as I hated Delores.    But LOVED THIS BOOK

Top 5 favorite genre books of all time?
Romance, mystery, horror, occult/fantasy/sci-fi   true crime

Favorite genre series?
romance,  yes those bodice ripping, trash romances.   love them.   They are fun easy reads, which is great after work or during a break, or waiting in line, or a the doctors office.

Currently Reading?
Kill by Stephen White (work)

The Frumious Bandernatch by Ed McBain (part of a series, now defunct as he’s dead)  (next to bed)

I don’t remember the name of my book car,  it’s about a guy whose wife has a baby and then dies, and then all these people start dying around him and then he finds out –  the Death.   The Death.

I don’t have a downstairs book as of now.  When the tv season is over, I probably will.    What can I say, I’m a dork.   Tv, books, internet.    it’s my life.   So, feel free to click on the link on the right –  buy me a present, I’m very pretty.   It’s my Amazon wishlist.
